How an Early Diagnosis Can Improve Quality of Life for People Living with Dementia

Every September, Alzheimer’s Disease International acknowledges and raises awareness about Alzheimer’s — one very commonly referenced type of Dementia. This September, the theme of their campaign is “Never too early, never too late” — with a mission to educate the public about the risk factors associated with Alzheimer’s, alongside some risk reduction techniques. Hearing of a Dementia diagnosis — whether for yourself or a loved one — can trigger a series of emotions, including distress, anger, frustration, helplessness, and beyond.
