Nursing support for clients and caregivers
At home. As yourself.

Integracare has been part of Canadian Families' lives since 1991. Now our Winnipeg team, led by Director Dennis Fancy, brings Integracare's nurse-led approach to Families here, adding consistency, nursing oversight, and dependable care when more support is needed at home.
In Winnipeg, some Families come to us with care already in place through Manitoba's public Home Care Program. They may need additional hours, overnight care, more consistency in who comes to the home, or support that works around their parent's routine rather than a set schedule. Our flexible private home care can fill those needs while working alongside the public services a Client already receives.
We use your loved one's habits, interests, and daily routines to plan their care. Ask our Winnipeg team about dementia care, personal care, and companionship in your neighbourhood.

The people who shaped us
These are two photographs of my grandmother, taken a lifetime apart: the young woman with everything ahead of her, and the woman who became the heart of our family.
That is the person we want to see. Beyond the care needs. Beyond the diagnosis. A life, still being lived. It is the standard I hold us to every day: is this the care I’d want for my own grandmother?

Getting started takes one conversation.
A Winnipeg team member listens to what's going on with your loved one.
A Registered Nurse sits with your Family at home and learns their routine: the mornings, what's changed, what still matters to them.
The nurse writes the plan, and we introduce a Health Care Aide who fits your parent's personality and the rhythm of their home.
Care starts when your Family is ready, and changes as your parent does.
Tell us what your loved one needs help with and what they want to keep doing for themselves. Our Winnipeg team will come to their home for a free, no-obligation assessment and shape their care around the routines, preferences, and independence they want to hold onto.

Many Winnipeg families delay arranging care until a crisis forces the issue. Here's why that wait is riskier than it looks, and how to act sooner.

An expired-food-filled fridge or a stack of unopened mail can say more than a reassuring phone call. Here's how Winnipeg families can read the quiet signs and find the right support.

When a Winnipeg hospital discharges your parent before public home care can start, there are practical ways to bridge the gap safely. Here's what families typically do.
What Winnipeg families ask before getting started with home care.
Yes, in most cases. Availability depends on your neighbourhood and the kind of help you need: hourly visits, overnight care, or a live-in arrangement are staffed differently. Share your postal code and what you're looking for, and our Winnipeg team will confirm availability before anything is arranged.
Families can continue receiving care through the Manitoba Home Care Program and use Integracare for additional care. For example, WRHA care may cover a morning visit while Integracare provides evening, overnight, or weekend care. Our nurse-led services include personal care from Health Care Aides, dementia and palliative care, companionship, help around the home and longer shifts, with 24/7 nursing support. We can also coordinate schedules with your case coordinator and confirm what can be arranged for your Family.
The Manitoba Home Care Program, through the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, assigns hours based on a case coordinator's assessment. Many families keep their public home care and add private hours around it, for example, public coverage for morning personal care and our Health Care Aides for evenings or weekends. You don't need to choose one program over the other, and we can coordinate timing directly with your case coordinator.
The cost depends on the type of care and number of hours required. Nursing, personal care, occasional visits, and 24-hour care have different costs. Following a free assessment, we provide pricing based on your parent's care needs.
Yes. Our Health Care Aides are trained in dementia care, and a Registered Nurse supervises every care plan. Our dementia care in Winnipeg can start with a few hours a week and grow as your loved one's needs change.
Yes. With 24-hour home care, Health Care Aides work in shifts so your loved one has someone with them day and night, and a nurse can be reached at any hour.
All of Greater Winnipeg, from Tuxedo, River Heights and Fort Garry to St. Vital, Transcona, North Kildonan, St. James, East St. Paul and Headingley.
Yes. Call us before the discharge date and support can be in place for the first day home. Our nursing care in Winnipeg covers clinical needs after a hospital stay, and Health Care Aides help with mobility and personal care while strength returns.
Yes. Many adult children arrange care for a parent while living outside Winnipeg. Integracare also serves Families in Toronto, Mississauga, and Ottawa, with our home care services continuing to expand across Canada. We can begin by phone or video, involve your loved one in decisions about their care, and coordinate with Family members wherever they live.
Not much. Your parent's location, a sense of what's changed recently, whether it's mobility, memory, meals, or something else, and when you'd like to start are enough to begin. The deeper questions, medications, daily routine, and what matters most to your Family come later, in person during the free in-home assessment.
